Biography

Howard’s career and volunteer mentoring responsibilities have focused on identifying and solving problems, and looking down the road to start preparing today for what lies ahead. He’s been privileged to have done this at both a business and consumer level and found both extremely rewarding.

Howard has over 25 years of experience in the information technology industry. During that time, Howard built and managed sales and strategic partner organizations for many high-profile companies, including Oracle, Accenture, and Tradex. After Tradex was acquired by a public company in 1999, and with a desire to spend more time with his family, Howard became a registered investment advisor with MassMutual, focusing on long-term care planning.

After a career living in the Washington, DC area, in 2007, Howard and his wife relocated to Naples, FL.  Leveraging his investment advisory background, he joined a South Florida registered investment advisory firm as their COO, while also serving as their Chief Compliance Officer. Howard also co-founded and served as the CEO of ERP Maestro – a private equity funded technology company.

Today, as part of the Resolute Bank team, Howard feels privileged to work with a group of lending professionals that strive to deliver excellence, and who value every client.

Howard works to educate both consumers and financial advisors about today’s reverse mortgage products that incorporate added features and benefits that enhance consumer protection.  He enjoys helping clients plan for their future, and educating them on how home equity can be leveraged to enhance portfolio longevity, provide a means to plan for long-term care expenses, and create a growing line of credit for short and long-term financial needs. Howard believes that in the right circumstances, reverse mortgages can provide people with an enhancement to their retirement income, while also reducing their portfolio longevity risk.

Howard earned a BBA degree in Finance from George Washington University and held a FINRA Series 7 and 66, and Florida Life and Health License.

On another note, Howard believes it’s important to “pay it forward” and volunteers with Fusion Pointe, an organization where business mentors help entrepreneurs launch their startups into investor ready ventures. He believes in doing good while doing business. Volunteering his time to help advance Southwest Florida’s innovation economy represents one way he does that. But most of all, he feels driven to help people enjoy peace of mind during retirement by educating them about ways to reduce portfolio longevity risk and plan for unexpected short and long-term financial needs.
